Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Come join the fun as your kids enjoy the excitement of filling their baskets with Easter eggs. The hunt will be divided into three age groups:

  • Ages 0–3 (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
  • Ages 4–7 (2:00 PM)
  • Ages 8–12 (2:00 PM)

This event is free and everyone is welcome. Please bring your own baskets or bags.

Movies in the Park

Our Movies in the Park series offers free outdoor movies during the summer months. This season’s themes include family, children, and comedy films. Pack some snacks, grab a blanket or chair, and enjoy a movie with us! Movies begin at dusk.

Festival of Friends

This event raises public awareness of the disabled community and provides a fun opportunity for families to enjoy festive activities including music, food, and water skiing. The Patricia Neal Innovative Recreation Cooperative will host the water ski venue for the day. Festival of Friends is hosted by the Lenoir City Pilot Club and the Lenoir City Parks and Recreation Department.

Independence Day Parade

Lenoir City’s annual Independence Day parade will kick off with our children’s Firecracker Run—a half-mile fun run for ages 5–12. The run is free, and the first 100 participants receive an event t-shirt. All runners receive a participation award, and top prizes are awarded to the first-place boy and girl in each division.

Participants for the parade or race can register by calling the Lenoir City Parks and Recreation Department at 986-1223.

Rockin’ the Docks

Rockin’ the Docks will once again bring live music and fireworks to the Lenoir City Park/Cove area. Live music begins at 5:00 PM and continues until the Fireworks Show at 10:00 PM. Enjoy entertainment, food, and one of the largest fireworks displays in East Tennessee.

Touch A Truck

Lenoir City Parks and Recreation invites all kids to get an up-close look at dump trucks, backhoes, buses, bucket trucks, police cars, fire trucks, wreckers, and even a helicopter! The event will also feature food trucks, live music, and inflatables.
