Burn Permits

Burn permits are REQUIRED year-round, inside the city limits of Lenoir City, for any outdoor burning except fires that are contained within a recreational fire ring or small fire pit. To obtain a permit for outdoor burning, please contact us or call one of the stations to schedule a time for us to inspect the burn area. We will issue the permit on site. Station One: 865-986-9418. Station Two: 865-986-4212.

Do I need a burn permit and what can I burn?

In the state of Tennessee, burn permits are also required between October 15th and May 15th for Loudon County residents, outside the city limits of Lenoir City, from the Tennessee Division of Forestry. County residents can obtain a burn permit by visiting BurnSafeTN.org or contacting the Tennessee Department of Agriculture-Forestry.
